Small Business, Big Impact

Small Business, Big Impact

Hot Diggity Dawg!
Wow - this past week was nutty. We experienced our first big letdown in Auburn, but we are looking forward to a Saturday coming this weekend against Kentucky with three of our favorite things to cheer us up: fashion, food, and great football. This week we're expecting a huge shipment of a fabulous new line of knits (RD Style) that I found via one of my old employees (now a buyer for Macy's in NYC) whose BFF reps the line. Loving their luxe touch, and forward construction. We're also ramping up for a HUGE holiday weekend next week with a BIG black Friday event, Small Business Saturday Artisan Market in our store (popping up 6 artists with their goodies for you to shop!) and of course, Cyber Monday deals. Let's say a collective HALLELUJAH for sales!

Not B2Bored
I really believe it's important to talk and look at other industries for inspiration. Recently I received an email from Mailchimp (a HUGE B2B company that leads the way in email innovation) asking me to come down to their offices at Ponce City Market and interview about how we prep for holiday here at Cheeky. So my husband and I made it a date and headed into Atlanta for the day. I have to tell you I was blown away by Ponce, and more specifically the 2 stories of offices at Mailchimp. The space is innovative, forward thinking (not one, but TWO Mother's Rooms!) and exciting - they have an amphitheater that connects the stairs from up to downstairs where they host internal and external speakers every Friday, one small example of the cool-factor. I'll share the interview when it comes out, it was really inspiring to go and see what successful startups are doing right and how I can snag some ideas for making Cheeky better.
