Style Resolutions for 2021

Style Resolutions for 2021

Happy New Year, Peaches! We’re saying goodbye (and good riddance) to 2020 and diving headfirst into 2021. Many of us are making resolutions and setting goals for changes we want to see through in the new year. Resolutions are a great way to try to get out of your comfort zone, especially when it comes to your style. If you’re looking to change up your style this year, or even if you just want to try something a little out of your norm, we’re here to help! Here are a few ideas you can use to enter this year feeling like your best self in a killer outfit.

  1. Be a risk-taker.

This is a big one. If you’re looking to step out of your style comfort zone, it’s important to take risks. Your style conveys who you are; expressing yourself through fashion is what we love to see! Try wearing pieces you may not normally wear, such as prints and patterns, monochrome outfits, matching sets, etc. Even if it feels a little out of your comfort zone, remember that confidence is key! Be seen. You look amazing.

  1. Stick to quality pieces.

Quality over quantity applies to your wardrobe, too. If you’re someone who tends to buy a lot of clothes at lower prices, maybe this is the resolution for you. It’s worth it to invest in one quality piece for your closet instead of buying multiple pieces of lower-quality. We call it an investment because high-quality clothing and accessories will last a long time.

  1. Mix up your jewelry.

Accessories are a powerful tool: they can make or break any outfit. Jewelry is like the icing on the cake -- it gives a final touch to your look. Layering necklaces is a great way to take the first step out of your accessory comfort zone. We also love a statement earring to spice up your look! Keep in touch with the jewelry trends, too. Chunky jewelry and chainlink are especially popular right now.

  1. Get styled professionally.

If you’re at a loss for where to start, come see us! We offer virtual and in-person styling sessions where we will help you find pieces that you love and make you feel like your best self. We’ll show you some styling tips for your pieces too!  Check out our website to learn more about the process and treat yourself to a styling session gift card.

  1. Keep up with new trends, but make them your own!

It’s always a good idea to be on the lookout for new trends, but that can be exhausting. We recommend filtering out the trends that don’t catch your eye and trying out the ones that appeal most to you. It’s also a good resolution to try and incorporate trends with your own personal style by pairing popular pieces with your favorite items already in your wardrobe. You can always keep up with us on Instagram and Facebook to see how we’re keeping up with trends at the Peach!

  1. Give minimalism a try.

Consider starting the new year with a clean and organized closet. Clutter can lead to an unnecessarily stressful environment, and that’s the last thing any of us need this year.  If you’re looking to minimize your closet and free up some space, do a good clean-out and really think about which items you want to keep. Which do you wear the most? Which ones haven’t been more than once or still have tags on them? After cleaning your closet out, don’t forget to donate your clothes! This is a chance to start the year with a bit of kindness. With your curated wardrobe, styling becomes super simple.

  1. Make comfortable cute.

After months of stay-at-home life, we’ve gotten pretty used to working and living in our comfy clothes. Pants feel like a chore. But once we get moving again, does that mean we have to get out of our pajamas? Not necessarily. Pants are a must in public, but let’s make our looks comfy. Hello joggers! You can also try wearing your cute silk pajama tank underneath a blazer for a sultry going-out look. Cardigans, cute tees, and sweater dresses are also great for combining comfort with style.

We hope this year is filled with love, light, and joy for everyone. We can’t wait to make 2021 the best (and most stylish) year yet. To shop with us, send us a DM on any of our socials, or come by the store! Check out our website to find styling session gift cards, blogs, and more.
